Last month, WBBH / Gulf Coast News in Ft. Myers, FL, reported that an abandoned bank was demolished after it was infested with iguanas. The bank was located in Cape Coral next to Ft. Myers.

The news presenter said, "The iguana building is finally gone in Cape Coral!"

"For years, the only deposits being made at this bank were by invasive lizards," he added.

Iguanas were all over the South Florida news earlier in the month with reports of them dropping from trees in the very cold weather.

See reporting about the invasive species in the cold, with residents removing them to be euthanized from Ft. Myers, Miami, and the West Palm Beach area. One organization said they collected 1500 iguanas.

Collection sites were across South Florida.

It is estimated that millions of iguanas now reside in the state. The news reporter said the iguanas are reproducing at an alarming rate.

Miami has long-suffered from a lack of opposing opinions to the corporate media narrative. That changes today with the launch of The Miami Independent. We aim to create Miami and Florida's premier investigative newspaper and will bring truth no matter where it lands.

Never answered the question of what happens to the Iguanas. Did someone catch them to destroy them? Or are they just set to run the neighborhood?
