MCH Group, the parent company of Art Basel, reported a 12 percent increase in revenue for the first half of 2026 in Switzerland, despite complications from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which is having a significant impact on its business worldwide. In a brief statement, the company highlighted strong growth, yet acknowledged the impact that the ongoing conflict is having in various regions. The Middle East is an important market for art fairs and high-end products, reported ArtNews.

In June, MCH Group took a first step to increasing its offering in North America by acquiring a 20% stake in the newly founded art festival Jupiter Festival. The first edition of Jupiter Festival will take place in late October 2026 in Miami. MCH will be present throughout the year in the art and culture scene of the city and shall establish itself as a further player in the scene, in addition to the already existing Art Basel fair, which takes place in December.

MCH Group fairs include Art Basel in Basel, Miami and Paris, as well as the specialized fairs Design Miami and Parcours. By investing in the new fair Jupiter Festival, which is held by MCH in a 20 percent share of capital, the company is trying to capture additional parts of the market in Miami during the other art festival seasons. So far, however, no information has been released with regard to the fair’s concept, venue and size in comparison with other established art fairs in Miami.

On the other hand, MCH Group does seem to benefit from higher demand for art in other regions of the world such as North America and Europe, in contrast to a weaker art market in the Middle East due to the significant impact of ongoing conflicts in the region on the company’s business. In the first half of 2026 MCH Group’s revenues even increased by 12% compared to the same period in the previous year.
