DeGov, laughing at or with a Trump supporter.
Did he really have a choice??
In the company of the nation’s Republican Governors, at a meeting at Mar a Lago on Jan. 9, Ron DeSantis jumped to the defense of a man he despises - after being set up by a reporter.
Florida’s Gov - Trump’s GOP rival in last year’s presidential primary — was asked about the president-elect sharply criticizing Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom as cataclysmic wildfires rage across Los Angeles.
When journalists suggested that Trump might be politicizing the California fires, and criticizing Gov. Newsome for the Leftist disaster that his state has become, DeGov criticized the media for their criticism of Trump. when two prominent Democrats, LA Mayor Bass,and CA Governor, Newsome were involved.
Whoopee. This was the one of the FIRST bits of support, tepid though it was, of Donald Trump that we have heard from Ron DeSantis, really, since Trump helped him win his first-term election to the Florida Governorship in 2018.
This, of course, in the company of his cohorts from around the country, many of whom, I’d wager, have been questioning DeGov’s silence in support of our party leader. That silence had been deafening - ESPECIALLY IN LIGHT OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF FLORIDA’S FULL FRONTAL ATTACK ON MAGA REPUBLICANS IN THE STATE.

So, despite DeFans of DeSantis, whose numbers have been shrinking as the truth comes forth, those who follow the Tallahassee Two-step are not impressed by a statement made to a reporter, when forced to be in the company of many grateful pro-Trumpers.
The same writer who was so impressed by DeSantis’s simple response to a reporter, has yet to mention - or perhaps notice - the Florida' Governor’s offer to Newsom to help California with the storm damage where none was made to Bill Lee of TN or the newly elected Josh Stein of NC. The lawfare against MAGA Republicans in Florida, conducted by DeSantis’s RPOF, is also yet to be noticed by this man. Some are slower to catch up than others, I suppose.
Those who know, understand that Ron DeSantis is a Globalist, raised as a little shrub in the Bush nursery, and groomed for great things; so far, he has not achieved their goals for him. He makes these “bad vibes” very evident. DeGov’s support of the Republican party standard bearer Donald Trtump, is pretty much non-existent, except when circumstances force it, as in a room full of Republican Governors, at the home of his nemesis.
Certainly, if a Trump supporter, DeSantis would not have his party structure trying to remove Trump Republicans. Duh.
