Miami's Kaseya Center is hosting a major benefit event tonight — Unidos Por Los Nuestros — bringing together more than 30 Latin artists to raise funds for earthquake victims in Venezuela and Colombia.
Venezuela needed support after two earthquakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude struck in June 2026. Then on Monday, a 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit San José del Palmar in Colombia's Chocó department on the Pacific coast. The death toll reached at least 281, with 348 rescued, more than 3,900 injured, and roughly 400 still missing as of this week. Civil databases listed over 4,200 missing in total. The quake destroyed more than 10,600 homes and damaged another 65,800.
The event was originally planned as a Venezuela-only concert — previously promoted as Unidos por Venezuela — but was quickly expanded when Colombia's disaster struck, with the name changed to reflect the broader relief effort.
The concert is coordinated by the Univision Foundation and Maestro Cares and will be broadcast internationally on multiple networks, making it a global telethon as well as a live Miami event.
Among the artists confirmed to perform tonight are Marc Anthony, Jay Wheeler, Ricardo Montaner, Luis Fonsi, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Feid, Silvestre Dangond, Karol G, and Chayanne. All Hands and Hearts, a nonprofit dedicated to disaster relief, has been selected as a charity partner.
The Venezuelan and Colombian diaspora communities in South Florida have been among the most active in coordinating relief. Many in the Venezuelan community have been sending aid home since the June earthquakes, with efforts intensifying after Monday's Colombia disaster compounded the regional toll.
The 2026 Colombia earthquake — the strongest recorded in the country this century — has drawn an outpouring from across the Latin music world. Artists including Shakira, Camilo, Greeicy, and Maluma have publicly called for support and contributed financially to relief campaigns.
