Get your first look at the Dolphins of the new football era on Sept. 27, when they host the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium in the home opener. Kickoff for this highly-anticipated match-up is set for 12pm ET.
This is a completely new season for the Miami Dolphins and they are looking to make a fresh start. The team has brought in new head coach Jeff Hafley, who comes to the Dolphins after spending time with the Green Bay Packers. He is going to run a defensive-oriented football team. For the first time in 7 years, the Dolphins will not have a quarterback with “name value” patrolling the sidelines. Malik Willis will be the first QB to start for the Dolphins since 2019. He has plenty of “upside” and will be put to the test in his first real game against the Chiefs’ top notch defense. The Dolphins are expected to win 4-5 games this season but in today’s NFL, rebuilding years can turn around quickly.
The Dolphins will face off against one of the NFL’s top teams in Week 3 as the Kansas City Chiefs, who returned to the AFC Championship game in 2026, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, travel to South Florida to test the defense of first year head coach Jeff Hafley and the offense of newly minted starting quarterback Malik Willis in his first true test against a superior opponent.
