Doral, Florida - The Liberty Authority of Miami-Dade County is an alliance of local grassroots conservative groups. These groups are made up of registered Republican voters who operate independently of the official Republican party. The spirit of liberty and the conservative cause do not reside in the Republican party, but in grassroots conservative groups and in the hearts of individuals.
Now this group has produced a Voter Guide for the upcoming primary elections on Tuesday, August 20, with the highlights set forth below:
The preferred candidates in contested Republican primaries are as follows:
1. State Senate District 7 (St. Augustine): Gerry James.
2. Congressional District 25 (Broward County): Chris Eddy.
3. Supervisor of Elections (Collier County): Dave Schaffel.
4. Supervisor of Elections (Monroe County): Sherri Hodies.
5. Fabian Basabe as an endorsed candidate in House District 106
6. State House District 115 (Dadeland, The Falls): Omar Blanco.
The preferred candidate in the non-partisan election for Miami-Dade County Mayor is Manny Cid.
Non-partisan elections for School Boards:
1. School Board, District 3 (Miami Beach, Coconut Grove): Hayley Ross.
2. School Board, District 7 (Kendall): Mary Blanco.
3. School Board, District 9 (Pinecrest, Florida City): Kimberly Beltran.
4. School Board, District 9 (Broward County): Tom Vasquez.
