Fox 13 (Tampa Bay) reported that a Sarasota Couty man and his dogs were attacked by pit bulls while out on a walk in their neighborhood in late January. One of the dogs was killed.
"It happened so quickly and then I couldn't do anything," said the man. "And then they dragged her across the street."
"Out of the shadows came two pit bulls," he added. "They were not on leashes [while mine] were on leashes."
A responding deputy, reported Fox 13, was forced to fire one shot at the attacking dogs, hitting one in the shoulder.
