In mid-January,Fox 35 TV news, WESH TV news, and WFTV TV news in Orlando reported that a therapist was stabbed to death by her former patient, a convicted rapist.
The convicted rapist then was thought to have taken his own life the following day.
WFTV reported that the alleged murderer was convicted of raping a women when 17 years old in 2003 in West Palm Beach and had served time in prison. He was released from prison in 2022.
According to Fox 35, the therapist was known to have worked on difficult cases.
A colleague of the therapist said, "My heart just dropped, and I started to cry, because she was a very kind person, and an excellent therapist."
