Last month, Fox 35 TV news in Orlando reported on two teen girls, aged 14 and 15, accused of a murder plot of a fellow high school classmate. First reported in January, last month the two teens were denied a bond and must remain in jail.
A note and a knife were found in the older teen girl's backpack.
The incident took place at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs just north of Orlando.
According to the Fox 35 reporter, investigators said that the 15-year-old planned to kill the student in honor of Sandy Hook killer Adam Lanza.
Fox 35 showed video of the pair joking around while sitting in the back of a police patrol car.
A licensed psychotherapist commented that the details were alarming. "That's a psychiatric emergency," she said.
The two teens will be tried as adults.
An anonymous tip led to the arrests of the teens. Students said it was a terrifying situation for them and their parents.
The pair's next court date is scheduled for April 29.
