Earlier this year, Gulf Coast News reported that Nile monitor lizards, with razor-sharp claws, continued to invade Cape Coral, FL neighborhoods, near Ft. Myers. The lizards can grow up to six feet long.

"There are a lot of Nile monitors especially in our neighborhood," said one resident.

"They are annoying more than anything else," said another resident.

She continued to describe one that ran into her house, which caused her to start screaming. "They are scary up close," she said.

In a report by WPLG (Miami - Ft. Lauderdale), the news journalist said, "Nile monitors are spreading across South Florida."

Carry a big hand gun and kill them when you see them

I have never considered a .22 to be a big hand gun and a .22 is all you need to eliminate one of those. That wide flat forehead covering its brain makes a nice aiming point! Just like always, a deuce with a double deuce!
