Earlier this month, Gulf Coast News (Ft. Myers - Naples, FL) reported on a siting of a 7-8 ft hammerhead shark strapped to a car roof in Northport, north of Ft. Myers.
The woman that took the photo was interviewed by Gulf Coast News. She said, "Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore. We are DEFINITELY in Florida."
"People back home were like, is that real?" The woman added.
Gulf Coast News journalist Madison Zaleski interviewed the woman and talked about the ins and out of legalities of shark harvesting in the state.
Wildlife officials are looking into the incident.
