[Miami, Florida] Sometimes what is called a conspiracy theory by the mainstream media turns out to be supported by the facts. That happened last week with Konnech, an election-logistics software company, and its CEO. Only one day after The New York Slimes condemned allegations that Konnech was engaged in election fraud, its CEO was arrested for allegedly engaging in just that.
We should not be surprised, because the mainstream media constitutes the propaganda arm of the woke progressive Marxist movement in America today, and The New York Slimes and The Wahington Compost function like Pravda and Izvestia in Russia, or Granma and Juventud Rebelde in Cuba.
Last week The New York Slimes published a sympathetic profile of Konnech and its CEO, Eugene Yu, a naturalized United States citizen from China, written by a technology reporter specializing in “misinformation.” Indeed! The profile stated that Konnech had come under scrutiny by several “far-right election deniers,” as they call those who question the integrity of the Presidential election in 2020. The profile also noted that a Republican county chairwoman in DeKalb County, Georgia, had expressed concern about entering into a contract with Konnech, but the chairman of the local election board called those concerns “fabricated.”
The next day, Mr. Yu was arrested because, as alleged by the District Attorney of Los Angeles County, personal information about poll workers was stored on servers in China, and there was reasonable suspicion of its theft, all in violation of the contract with the county. The alleged conduct had no impact on the tabulation of votes and did not alter election results, but nevertheless the District Attorney acknowledged that security in all aspects of any election is essential so that we all have full faith in the integrity of the election process.
True The Vote, an election integrity group based in Houston and founded almost 10 years ago by Catherine Engelbrecht, led the way in calling out Konnech’s unlawful ties with China during a public online briefing in August. As a result they were sued last month by Konnech for defamation and tortious interference, but the facts are coming out in their favor.
In addition, on the day after Mr. Yu was arrested, and in response to pressure from the local Republican Election Integrity Working Group, the Fairfax County, Virginia, Office of Elections stopped using Konnech’s software, which they had done since 2016. They also sent Konnech a notice of contract termination. Other jurisdictions that have stopped using Konnech include: (1) Loudon and Prince William Counties in Virginia; (2) Los Angeles County in California; (3) Tampa, Hillsborough County, Gainesville, Alachua County, and the Space Coast, Brevard County, all in Florida; and (4) Detroit, Wayne County, in Michigan.
Of course, everyone makes mistakes, but the mainstream media always seems to make mistakes that favor the left. As Woody Allen admitted, he is a bigot, but for the left!
