HB 943 and HB 247

In DeSantis’s Florida today, you can catch the sickening smell of the peoples’ Constitutional rights, going up in smoke, as the image of Karl Marx casts a red glow over the beauty of the state. Is that what was part of that purple fog that was making everyone sick? No, but this summary might…. Apologies, up front.

For the past several years, Tallahassee’s Globalist agenda has become more and more apparent. Party control of who may use the word, “Republican”; the removal of a Trump delegate’s power at the national convention; the disenfranchisement of voters who elected whom they WANTED for local offices, to name but a few.
Last week, I covered HB1118, which removes the power of citizens to stand against local development. There are several additional bills in the process of passage by the Florida legislature, other than 1118, which take away citizens’ rights to govern their own communities. All seem to be geared towards development.
Apparently, Tallahassee wants to make SURE that everyone understands that they are serious about removing their citizens’ constitutional rights, in case anyone was still confused.
Perhaps Floridians who haven’t, should all read DeGov’s laugher of a book. “The Courage to Be Free”, on that subject. You remember, that book-signing in Leesburg Mall, where DeSmallman called the police to remove people who were wearing Trump gear? That’s DeGov’s idea of “freedom”, I suppose.
As things are rolling in the Sunshine State, it will take lots of citizens with courage, in the days and weeks ahead, to do battle with this all. The book should be fairly cheap by this point; it never quite hit the best-seller lists. But, I digress.
HB943 “Requires counties & municipalities to authorize multifamily & mixed-use residential as allowable uses on parcels owned & authorized by specified entities & in PUDs” It has zipped right through the Committees intended to make it into law: Housing/Ag/Tourism; Intergovernmental Affairs; and has now had its first reading in the Commerce Committee.
NB: “Requires”. No choice.
Should this apparently fast-tracked bill pass, Floridians will have lost even more “say”in their own governance. Since DeSantis became Governor, with the help of Trump in 2018 and a lot of undeliverable addresses on the voter rolls in 2022, this is happening more and more. The aura of Marx is growing stronger and stronger.
Several other related bills in Tallahassee are working their way towards the Governor’s desk for signature, the most blatantly dictatorial of which is HB247, “Affordable Housing”. The others are mostly “modifications” thereof. The HB247 bill text is below.
“"GENERAL BILL by (has passed these subcommittees) Intergovernmental Affairs Subcommittee ; Housing, Agriculture & Tourism Subcommittee ; sponsor Conerly of Lakewood Ranch, Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
“Affordable Housing; REQUIRES, rather than authorizing, local governments to adopt, ordinance to allow accessory dwelling units in certain areas; specifies that accessory dwelling units that provide affordable rental housing shall apply towards satisfying certain component of local government's comprehensive plan; prohibits denial of homestead exemption for certain portions of property on specified basis; requires that rented accessory dwelling unit be assessed separately from homestead property & taxed according to its use; authorizes local government to provide density bonus incentive to landowners who make certain real property donations to assist in provision of affordable housing for military families; requires OPPAGA to evaluate efficacy of using mezzanine finance & potential of tiny homes . . . .”
Remember, Sacramento played fast and loose with their constituents’s zoning also. Just a few months before the January fires, the zoning of the land where the beautiful single family homes stood before they were turned to ash, was changed to include “multi-family”, and signed into law by THEIR Deep State Governor. Check out CASB1123.
There’s that “requires’, again.
As companion to the freedom-destroying legislation and disenfranchisement of citizens, Florida legislators are ignoring what the people DO want. Thousands who have contacted their “representatives” and spoken up, will attest to that. The people want, among many other things, no machines to be utilized in the voting process; verifiable post-election audits; and to elect their OWN REPRESENTATIVES in their towns and counties. This, of course, cannot be allowed by DeKing and his court, because many Floridians do NOT WANT MORE DEVELOPMENT, and might say “no” to those developers, where Tallytown will not.
If the citizens in many counties in the state could choose (and, since this IS still America, they should be able to . . .) Florida would still have open spaces, agriculture, and the blessings given it by nature. Citrus groves would line miles of country roads.
Those 1400 acres of rural land in Levy County, might never have been sold to a Chinese drug lab, in 2022, for raising test animals. Florida would never begin to resemble a UN Agenda state, like California is becoming.
I am soooo tired of hearing that poor DeSantis is being set upon by his legislature; that Tallahassee is somehow making laws behind his back, or in which he has no say. Remember, it was right after the 2022 Chinese land deal, in May of 2023 as he was gearing up for his run for POTUS, that DeGov signed a law banning land sales to China, saying on Fox that , “We don’t want the CCP in the Sunshine State.”
Gag me, as they say.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, if DeGov does not know what is going on in his own government, he is not fit to clean its commodes.
Newsom knew EXACTLY what he was doing, too. He is following the UN Agenda program, as are DeSantis and his merry gang. IMHO, of course. The Florida Chamber of Commerce once had a website soaked in UN Agenda goals. It seemed that, shortly after I wrote about it last year, those pages were altered to be less directly UN Agenda-loving.
DeSantis has to know and support those goals. After selling out the residents’ single family zoning in the Palisades area of California, Newsom turned to podcasting, and proved to be just as bad at that as governing. If DeGov were more comfortable with unscripted public contact, he might try the same. Dear Lord, save us from that.
Remember, UN Agenda is saying that, among other destructors to freedom, “You will own nothing and be happy.”
So, making property ownership unsustainable to the average homeowner, is a win-win for the Globalists. With that, their bond coffers are filled, and developers get to build those “stack and pack” apartments where the average family gets approximately 400 sq. ft. to call home. Yes, I have fast-forwarded this, but it is all fact. Once underway, the UN Agendas have a way of picking up speed themselves, with the help of Globalists in statehouses.
Get yourself a copy of the actual UN Agendas, ‘21 and ‘30. Then, thank DeSantis’s mentors, the Bush family, for signing the United States on to UNAgnda ‘21; and, Obama, for UNAgenda 2030. They were both considered “soft treaties”, which conveniently do NOT require Congressional approval.
The America we are blessed to call “home” is a place where its citizens have a say about their governance. Florida is no longer part of that great experiment, it seems. The ToTallytarians want their citizens to NOT INTERFERE with the Statehouse Agenda. Forget having a say.
As a matter of fact, just as I was finishing this up, a Florida friend sent me this:
“Governor DeSantis wants to restrict citizen-led initiatives”, an email from a group calling themselves TallyEd. They plan to petition him. LOL is all I can say. Petition? Good luck with that. It is pretty apparent that folks in the Florida Statehouse do not wish to be bothered by that kind of thing.
So, the Governor “wants to restrict citizen-led initiatives…” Seems like he does know what is going on, after all.
But I thought Desantis was so awesome and Florida was the last bastion of Freedom? That's what all the talking heads in the GOP tell me? 🙄
Yes. That’s Deep State style.
