The Cuban businessman Eduardo Pérez-Bengochea passed away in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Eduardo was a tireless anti-communist fighter and had battled cancer for over 10 years. Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the Democrat primary for Mayor in New York has created a serious crisis for Democrats nationwide, as his socialist policies are extreme and unacceptable to most Democrats, especially in the South and Midwest. According to his wife, Miguel Uribe, Colombian Senator and presidential candidate who was recently shot in an attempted assassination, came out well from the latest surgery he underwent. However, although he lost the Democrat primary, he is registering as an independent to run in the general election. Problems ahead: there are three candidates running as independents, which will divide the anti-socialist vote. They should unite to prevent Mamdani from governing the Big Apple.
