Miami, Florida - President Trump has ordered a mobilization of federal law enforcement and the National Guard in Memphis, Tennessee, similar to the one carried out in Washington, D.C., to put an end to out-of-control crime in that city. The residents of Memphis, as well as the Mayor and his administration, are very grateful for this measure.

Apparently, we are in the final moments of Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship in Venezuela. Either he leaves or they will remove him! There is no turning back. Maduro has run into the reassertion of the Monroe Doctrine by the Trump administration. This doctrine holds that the United States should keep international powers out of the Americas. Under Maduro, Venezuela has allied with Russia, Iran and China, to threaten the interests of the United States, including by engaging in drug trafficking and gang violence.

Nadine Menéndez, wife of Senator Bob Menéndez, Democrat of New York, was sentenced to four-and-a half years in prison for having accepted gold bars, cash and a Mercedes Benz in exchange for influencing her husband. Samuel Menéndez was always a shady character and voted the straight Democrat line, but his work was excellent on matters regarding foreign policy, especially the Americas.

Donald Trump commemorated the victims of September 11 at the Pentagon on their 24th anniversary. A day of mourning we will never forget!

Former Miami-Dade County Commissioner Joe Martínez, a Republican, was sentenced to three years in prison after a trial in which even the judge felt bad about having to condemn him. Commissioner Martinez was the victim of a politicized prosecution conducted by Democrat State’s Attorney Fernandez Rundle, who has been in office for some 32 years, and was not even challenged by the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee in the last general election.

The British ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, was dismissed last week after his connection to the criminal Jeffrey Epstein became known. Epstein’s name continues to cause damage to those connected with him.

President Trump announced last Thursday that he would award Charlie Kirk, posthumously, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. We are very glad about this decision!

Larry Ellison, the CEO of Oracle, became the richest man in the world this week, surpassing Elon Musk. This has not been a good year for Musk, but he is still fabulously rich and likely to get richer with his new pay package at Tesla. Don’t cry for Musk!

The defeat of President Milei in the midterm elections in the Province of Buenos Buenos Aires has resulted in a financial debacle in Argentina. After the country’s economic recovery, thanks to President Milei’s excellent economic policy, what happened in the elections confirms what we have always thought: In Argentina, you never know what is going to happen in politics. Many years of Perón and Kirchner, who are still favored by many in that country.

The anti-Castro leader Eduardo Arocena died in Miami. He served many years in prison after a federal trial held in New York during 1984, where he was sentenced to two life sentences. He was released in 2021 due to health conditions. Arocena was the leader of Omega 7, which participated in terrorist activities.

The former head of the Brazilian government, Jair Bolsonaro, was sentenced to 27 years in prison for, according to the leftist prosecutor, attempting to remain in power in his country. A true blow to democracy and the future of the South American giant!

The famous actor and director Robert Redford has died at 89, one of Hollywood’s greats. His films were widely acclaimed, and he won several awards for his excellent work. May he rest in peace!

The renowned flamenco group Ida y Vuelta is back in Miami and announced that they will be performing every Friday at the Spanish restaurant Xixon, Saturdays at El Gallegazo restaurant, and Wednesdays at Amelia’s 1931 restaurant. A musical group led by Sivi and Almudena that will make you enjoy yourself tremendously. Highly recommended!

Attorney Bernardo says to Rodolfo: “I have good news and bad news for you.” Rodolfo replied: “You know I’ve had a terrible day, so let’s hear the good news first.” The lawyer says: “Well, I met with your wife, and she told me that she invested five thousand dollars in two pieces of art that she thinks could sell for 15 to 20 million dollars, and I believe she’s right.” Rodolfo replies: “Wonderful! My wife is a brilliant businesswoman; you’ve made my day! Now I’m ready to hear the bad news. What is it?” The attorney answered: “The photo that she has is of you with your secretary.”
