Delray Beach, Florida - According to the “woke police,” you must adhere to the unproven and scientifically impossible idea that a male can become a female, and a female can become a male. If you deviate from that absurd belief, you will be ostracized, ridiculed, vilified and, in some cases, lose your job.

Among some radical elements in our society, it has become the cause du jour to promote “transgenderism,” and even the mutilation of one’s body in an attempt to change the irrefutable fact that there are only two sexes: male and female. Of course, there are individuals who feel more comfortable identifying as the opposite sex, but you cannot change “Mother Nature” or your DNA. You are not what you are not — you are who you are.

Militant transgender activists want you to believe it is normal for people to pretend to be the opposite sex and to have that right. And yes, they have the right to believe whatever they want, but they cannot change who and what they really are. When these radical activists try to impose their views on minor children, it becomes both a medical and political issue that gains traction among the radical progressive left.

Is it right to operate on, and attempt to change, a minor’s sex — with or without parental consent — before that individual reaches the age of consent? Should a boy or girl be subjected to hormone therapy or medical castration at the whim of misguided parents or transgender social activists? The answer should be a resounding “no!”

We’ve all known boys and girls who displayed mannerisms of the opposite sex, yet many of them outgrew those traits and went on to lead normal lives as men and women. Some girls were called “tomboys,” and some boys were considered “effeminate,” but in most cases they did not attempt to alter their bodies to match those inclinations.

Today, transgender social activists are openly trying to normalize the physical transformation of a person’s body into that of the opposite sex. This group, largely from the progressive side of the political and cultural spectrum, continues to push the flawed idea that females can become males, and males can become females. We should not be bullied into believing that one can change “Mother Nature.” You are who you are — not someone else.

We should have laws stating that no one under the age of consent (18 years) should be subjected to hormone therapy or surgical body alteration. Once those procedures are performed, the outcome cannot be undone. Such actions should be considered child abuse and subject to criminal or civil penalties. This is not censorship or a deprivation of civil rights — it is simply protecting the capacity of everyone to get married and raise a family.

This last point is what progressives are attacking with their transgender ideology. They realize that the Christian family is the basis for American civilization, and in their desire for fundamental transformation of America, they attack the roots of our social order. Progressives want Americans to be as miserable as they are.

It is estimated that people who identify as “transgender” make up less than one-half of one percent of the population, yet they receive disproportionate attention and positive coverage from the “woke” community. We must not give in to this delusional theory of life. You are who you are — and not someone else.
