Florida Republican U.S. Senator Ashley Moody is up for re-election this year. Democrats are spending everything they can to elect Alexander Vindman, retired Army officer who supported President Trump's first impeachment, to the seat Moody holds, but it will be difficult to defeat someone who served impeccably as Florida’s Attorney General until Governor DeSantis appointed her to replace Marco Rubio. She is a decent woman and is doing a good job in the Senate. Nevertheless, she will be challenged in the Republican primary election by Chris Gleason, an election integrity warrior from Pinellas County. Primaries are very important to test candidates and discuss issues, so may the best candidate win!
Colombian President Gustavo Petro is a disgrace to his country. In his latest public speech, where he appeared “a bit out of sorts,” he blasphemed our Lord Jesus Christ in a vulgar manner. He is not worthy of representing a cultured and principled people like Colombians. What a shame!
United States Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democrat and a graduate of Yale College and UChicago Law School, announced her bid for Governor of Minnesota. Your columnist believes that since the state is in turmoil, the Democrat leadership sent Amy to run and leave the Senate in order to secure the governorship. We will see what happens in November.
