Miami, Florida - February 10 this year was a historic day in Washington, D.C., when Cuban-born Benjamín León Jr. was sworn in, before a fellow child of Cuban immigrants, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as United States Ambassador to Spain and Andorra. In a beautiful hall at the State Department, a very interesting group of business leaders, academics, and personal friends of the entrepreneur and philanthropist León gathered to witness him take the oath and to accompany him in this important achievement.

We all know the importance of Spain and the crucial moment that country is going through, and we are aware that the Cuban businessman’s intelligence will be vital to achieving resounding success in the exchange of relations between the United States and Spain. If León was able to succeed in a highly competitive market and position León Medical Center as a leader in Florida’s healthcare industry, we are confident that he will soon become a star in the world of international diplomacy. Our admiration and respect for someone who has achieved everything he has set out to accomplish. A true source of pride for all Hispanic Americans in Miami!

President Donald Trump travelled to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with Melania, where he personally thanked the special operators who extracted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores from the heart of their hideout for their extraordinary operation. Maduro did not heed Trump’s warnings and ended up in a prison in Brooklyn. We recommend that Díaz-Canel and Raúl Castro, the communist dictators in Cuba, pay close attention to what Trump says, or we will soon see them alongside Maduro.

In January 2026, the United States economy created 130,000 new net jobs—non-agricultural—according to the official report published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor. This number of new jobs far exceeded analysts’ expectations, which ranged between 45,000 and 70,000 new positions. It represents the largest job creation in the past 12 months. The unemployment rate fell to 4.3%. The Trump economic boom this year is gaining speed.

The United States Secretary of Energy, Christopher Wright, traveled to Venezuela and, together with the U.S. ambassador, went to the Miraflores Palace to hold a conversation with Interim President Delcy Rodríguez. There he explained to the current Venezuelan president the essential points the U.S. government is seeking from her interim government. Delcy was delighted and extended him full honors!

María Corina Machado declared that she believes free elections can be held this year in Venezuela. That would be formidable, and we are certain she would be elected by a massive majority. Nevertheless, the U.S. government wants to achieve political stability before resorting to elections, so Maria Corina will probably have to wait a while. Long live a free Venezuela! Long live a free Cuba!

Elon Musk calls Pedro Sánchez, the Prime Minister of Spain, “a failed fascist.” Sánchez is indeed a socialist, and has done whatever he pleases in Spain. How long will he continue creating problems and confusion?

Trump confirmed that there are negotiations with Havana to find a solution to the Cuba situation. We do not know whether the Communist leadership will leave for Madrid with their families, or whether Díaz-Canel and the rest will fight to the last man. What we care about is that they all go to heck and leave the island to heal.

Venezuelan Interim President Rodríguez appointed Diosdado Cabello’s daughter, Daniella Cabello, as Minister of Tourism. Interesting!

Apparently President Trump will close the Kennedy Center starting on July 4 for major renovations—for a period of two years. Trump wants everything in optimal condition so that he can inaugurate the renovated center before leaving the presidency.

The Washington Post is laying off one-third of its workforce. That is, 300 people who today receive paychecks from the newspaper will join the ranks of the unemployed at the end of this week.

Bill and Hillary Clinton have reversed course and will now testify before Congress about Jeffrey Epstein. This appearance before Congress will be very interesting. The two Clintons facing Congressman Comer.

The Trump administration ordered the removal of 700 ICE members from Minnesota, after local authorities agreed to hand over from jails the criminal illegal aliens sought by ICE for deportation.

Earl Spencer, the brother of Princess Diana of Wales, is divorcing for the third time. The British royal family is hardly a model of the Christian family.

There are rumors that Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello is sleeping in an embassy aligned with the Chavistas/Maduristas, out of fear that what happened to former President Maduro and his wife Cilia could happen to him. Well, we will soon find out! Now we must try to find out where Raúl Castro and Díaz-Canel are sleeping in Cuba.

A man stops a woman on the street and asks, “Excuse me, haven’t you seen a police officer walking around here?” She replied, “No, I haven’t seen any.” Then he said, “Ah, perfect! Hand over your purse, your watch and your necklace. This is a robbery.”

Editor’s Notes - - Truths of the Day:
1. China is an evil empire.
2. Mexico is a narco-communist state seeking to recover lost territory.
3. California is a failed eco-socialist state.
4. Sanctuary jurisdictions are Confederate territories.
5. The U.S. dollar is losing its status as the world’s main reserve asset for central banks, but not to BRICS currencies. Instead, it is losing its status to gold, and that is a good thing for everyone, including Americans.
