St. Petersburg, Florida -- President Trump’s RINO endorsements will end when the MAGA movement takes control over state Republican parties. Until then, expect more RINO endorsements.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune just proved what a RINO he is, if recent reports are true. He reportedly won't allow the SAVE Act to pass unless President Trump endorses fellow RINO Senator John Cornyn of Texas. Cornyn fell short of winning the majority of votes, which was needed in Tuesday's Republican primary to avoid a runoff with Attorney General Ken Paxton, the MAGA favorite. If accurate, this amounts to nothing short of extortion. So far, Trump has not indicated whether he will comply.
Congressman Wesley Hunt came in third in this race, so the top two vote-getters advance to a runoff. This means that a majority of the voters cast their votes against the incumbent Cornyn...not a good position for him to be in heading into a runoff.
Speculation swirls that Trump will endorse Cornyn and ask Paxton to step down from the race. Harry Enten of CNN reports that candidates receiving Trump’s endorsement in congressional or gubernatorial primary races won at least 95% of all races in 2020, 2022 and 2024. This will allow Republicans to unite early against the Democrat opponent in the general election, State Representative James Talarico. This Democrat candidate, however, is a far-left woke progressive in choir boy’s clothing, and either Republican will pummel him in November.
For his part, Paxton has proposed that he would drop out of the race, so long as Thune ensures the passage of the SAVE Act, discarding the filibuster if necessary. Senate RINOs want to let the SAVE Act die on the floor, because they don’t care for election integrity, but they also want to save their fellow RINO Cornyn. Paxton will almost certainly run for governor of Texas in four years.
Disappointing Endorsements
One of MAGA's biggest disappointments during the Trump 47 presidency has been the surprisingly high number of RINO endorsements that the President has issued in nearly every state for the 2026 Republican primaries. While Chief of Staff Suzie Wiles receives much of the blame, we should seek a deeper explanation.
Unless you're a true grassroots conservative activist in the Republican Party, you may not realize how deeply infiltrated the GOP is with RINOs—or even know what a “RINO” is. As explained in my latest book, Rules for RINOs: Alinsky Tactics to Fight Republicans In Name Only, a RINO is a member of the Republican Party who does not adhere to core conservative principles, or supports policies typically associated with Democrats. The term is often used pejoratively by conservative Republicans to criticize those who are too moderate or progressive.
So why would Trump endorse such Republicans? After all, many of the headaches he's faced in his second term stem from members of his own party. Although Republicans hold slim majorities in both the House and Senate, the President has struggled to advance nominations and uphold Executive Orders central to his agenda. What explains this?
Our Constitution designed a bottom-up system of governance, originating from the states and the people. Today, however, it has been inverted into top-down control by party leaders, at both the state and federal levels.
This deviation became painfully clear to your correspondent after the disputed 2020 presidential election. Trump's MAGA base demanded fixes for election irregularities, but GOP leadership refused. The directive to ignore election concerns came from the national level. In 2021, Florida's Republican National Committee representative told your correspondent bluntly that party leaders wanted the election-fraud issue swept under the rug—a mandate obeyed from state to county levels, including the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) and county Republican Executive Committees (RECs).
Yet President Trump himself called for answers about the electoral inconsistencies we all witnessed. While MAGA grassroots patriots sought them, party leaders constantly sabotaged our efforts. It was both baffling and unexpected.
Most Republicans are unaware that they have a county Republican Party with regular meetings. (except in Miami-Dade County) that serve as the local command-and-control system—or that they can join and influence candidate selection. Many blindly trust "leaders" to decide for them. They are mistaken.
This isn't unique to Republicans; Democratic leadership is equally corrupt. Together, they form a Uniparty destroying our country. The top-down leadership of both parties silences dissenting patriots—but Republicans have grown especially brutal, purging or marginalizing hundreds from Trump's base. This isn't limited to Florida; it has been discussed on X Space podcasts with activists from other states facing the same national GOP problem.
The bottom line is that patriots have allowed a small group of self-serving "America Lasters" to seize control of the Republican Party. True loyalists do not sideline the President's grassroots supporters ahead of his final term's most important party primaries—especially by stripping vocal base members of free speech and assembly rights.
If you doubt this, review the four grievances the RPOF filed against your correspondent (posted on my website). They were clearly designed to suspend me from political activity and silence me. I'm far from the only one targeted.
When we criticize Trump for endorsing RINOs in our states and counties, consider the source of his referrals: State GOP leaders, of course. Genuine advisers would identify MAGA leaders in each state instead—unless this is intentional. Before blaming President Trump for RINO endorsements in our backyards, shouldn't we ask how we've allowed RINOs to take control of our state parties in the first place?
Florida RINO’s
We must wake up soon in Florida, or RPOF Chairman Evan Power could become our next Congressman from Florida's 2nd District. As a board member of Ramba Consulting—one of the state's largest lobbying firms—we should question whether this is the legislator we want.
Power is infamous among longtime MAGA Republicans as one of the worst tyrants to lead the RPOF. He and Executive Director Bill Helmich orchestrated: (1) the suspension of the MAGA-majority Manatee County REC; (2) the grievances filed against your correspondent; (3) attempts to neuter the active Florida Republican Assembly grassroots group; and (4) and the purging of countless Trump loyalists.
As the architect of numerous self-serving rules changes within the RPOF—benefiting him financially, professionally and personally—Power must be stopped, or we will bear responsibility for more RINOs in Washington, our state and our counties in the years ahead.
The RPOF pushes a narrative that deceives most members, but purged activists know the truth while others toe the line. Unless more of Trump's supporters awaken to this reality and take action, top-down governance will persist—and we'll continue receiving unwanted RINO endorsements from D.C.
