Earlier this year we reported on the fact that on November 24th, 2025 the loyal members of the Brevard Republican Executive Committee (BREC) were disenfranchised by a fabricated election which was endorsed by the RPOF leadership. Despite the filing of over 40 grievances with the RPOF, no corrective action was provided. But slowly time heals...

    News Flash!!

John Dittmore admits his election to Chairman of the Brevard Republican Executive Committee was out of order

June 29th, 2026 Brevard Republican Executive Committee (BREC) meeting - John Dittmore voted yes, along with 65 other members, to a motion that states his election to Chair of BREC was out of order and did not occur. The Motion, which carried with 66 yeas to 40 nays and 9 abstains, reads: Disapproving Marie Rogerson minutes and swapping Secretary Wayne Twiddy minutes for out of order minutes taken by Marie Rogerson which represents RPOF certification of elections for Chair and State Committeeman that did not occur. The Secretary's November 24, 2025 minutes, together with this motion as an addendum documenting the assembly's action, shall be presented under the “Approval of Minutes” agenda item at the next regular BREC meeting. Upon adoption, the Secretary's minutes shall replace the previously presented minutes as the official minutes of the November 24, 2025 meeting.

For the first time in 7 months (5 meetings) BREC achieved a quorum in order to conduct business. Quorum was achieved largely due to disenfranchised members who turned-out to have their voices heard on the third agenda item - the Approval of the Minutes from the 11/24/25 BREC meeting where John Dittmore was improperly voted Chairman. The Membership wanted the opportunity to correct the record by swapping-in the accurate minutes recorded by the BREC Secretary who is solely responsible for capturing the meeting minutes.

This meeting was well-attended where all those who wanted to speak got the opportunity to do so. In addition to the 115 members, there were 3 Constitutional Officers (Dana Blickley, Lisa Cullen, and Blaise Trettis), 5 Elected Officials (Kim Adkinson, Mike Jaffe, Matt Susin, Gene Trent, and Megan Wright), as well as multiple Candidates running for offices. They are all witnesses to what transpired. Dittmore approved the use of video and audio recordings for this meeting which allowed many to capture exactly what happened.

The Membership was loud and vocal and was not going to approve the Marie Rogerson version of the minutes without wholesale correction of false statements. This would have consumed the whole meeting. A motion was made to summarize the plethora of fake minutes issues into a concise acceptable short statement which is added as an addendum to the Secretary’s 11/24/25 accurate minutes. This was necessary in order to reach consensus and continue through the meeting agenda. Some softening of the wording had to take place. Observations indicated there may have been many more yeas if the wording used was “illegal” instead of “out of order.”

With the out-of-order election admission by John Dittmore captured within the motion that passed, the Membership continued to demand that John Dittmore resign. John Dittmore refused to resign. Frustration was mounting within the Membership. At this point 64 members voiced their objections by rising to depart in unison – breaking quorum so that the admitted-illegitimate Chairman, John Dittmore, could not conduct any more business.

It is interesting to note that the Treasurer, Randy Stackhouse, as cited within Rogerson’s now defunct 11/24/25 minutes “the Treasurer, as the next ranking officer, called the properly noticed meeting to order in accordance with Roberts Rules as the acting chair continued to hold an illegal meeting in the same room”, did not voice his objection to any of the challenges to this statement nor the other challenges to that version of the minutes. Mr. Stackhouse had an opportunity to vote against the motion, but chose to abstain.

You may hear complaints about the 64 people that walked out, “those few just don’t want to help Republicans get elected”. That is not true – John Dittmore had 7 months to hold a fair and legitimate election for Chairman and State Committeeman in order to heal BREC. He broke BREC, and could have healed it by resigning, but he refused. Cause and effect - John Dittmore is not helping Republicans get elected by not resigning. John Dittmore is a failed Chairman and must immediately resign.
