Pinellas County, Florida - It’s been a while since my last article. I’ve been busy around the clock with the American Patriot Executive Committee (APEC), the coalition of grassroots conservative activists that I helped co-found. My original purpose was straight-forward - - that the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), under Chairman Evan Power and Executive Director Bill Helmich, has been purging America First and MAGA members of the Republican party in droves. Earlier articles in The Miami Independent provide the receipts.

Now, however, attacks on the real MAGA patriots in Florida who support President Trump and his agenda—attacks coming from within his own party—have reached a point where silence is no longer an option. If you find it difficult to believe that Republican Party leadership is engaging in dirty politics against Trump’s most active grassroots supporters, I urge you to read this article in full.

Inside the Real Republican Party of Florida

Readers of my second political book, Rules for RINOs: Alinsky Tactics to Fight Republican In Name Only, already received a detailed education on the RPOF’s war on MAGA. For those who haven’t, here are key points to help you distinguish RINOs from true grassroots conservative MAGA patriots in the upcoming elections. The primary elections on Tuesday, August 18 offer a genuine opportunity to vote RINOs out before they reach the November ballot.

If you are not yet involved in your local Republican Executive Committee (REC), I strongly encourage you to attend one of your county’s REC meetings. It is not a generic Republican Club meeting—it is the REC. Observe carefully: Are members allowed to speak freely? RECs are meant to operate from the bottom up, with the membership in charge and the Chairman serving merely as facilitator. That is not what is happening across much of Florida. For a clear-eyed look inside these dynamics, read the Substack articles of Steve Edward Farley. His recent piece, “Senior Takeover Update: The Chairman Who Erased the Man in the Wheelchair,” offers a disturbing glimpse into Collier County—and a pattern repeating in many other RECs.

In that article, Farley describes the chaos when Republican gubernatorial candidate James Fishback arrived unannounced at a Collier County REC meeting where Byron Donalds was the scheduled speaker. One can argue Fishback should not have shown up without notice. But the deeper question remains: When did it become unacceptable for one candidate to hear his opponent speak? And how was the heavy-handed response justified?

I experienced a similar assault in 2021 from the Executive Director of my Pinellas REC. After five years as a Precinct Committeewoman with no issues, I began speaking out about the rigged 2020 Presidential election. That placed a target on my back. The next four years—watching a Republican party that refused to seriously address election fraud, demonized J6 defendants, and targeted its most dedicated grassroots conservative volunteers—were eye-opening and often excruciating.

For simply speaking the truth about the 2020 Presidential election, defending J6ers, founding Pinellas Watchdogs, and calling out establishment RINOs, the RPOF suspended me from the Republican Party. Don’t worry—they won’t target you if you toe their line.

Tricks the Establishment Plays

If you believe that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen, that RINOs control the heights of the Republican Party, that the J6 Ca;itol riot was a setup, that Senator John Thune is sabotaging Trump’s agenda, or that Sen. Ashley Moody improperly used pro forma sessions to prevent President Trump from making recess appointments, then you are likely out of step with the RPOF establishment. These views are not merely unwelcome—they are publicly ostracized by the RPOF. I do not make these accusations lightly.

A simple search confirms they are a procedural tactic to block recess appointments. Why would a Florida Republican Senator—supposedly a Trump supporter—work to prevent President Trump from making recess appointments? And why would state Party leadership defend her?

Outspoken Florida-based influencer Ann Vandersteel recently highlighted fake voter guides from the 2024 cycle. This tactic is spreading and worsening. The genuine St. Johns County grassroots voter guide carried the official www.StJohns.gop branding and endorsed authentic America First candidates. A near-identical counterfeit promoted RINO establishment favorites instead. Most voters, especially those relying on churches or single-issue groups, cannot easily tell the difference. In this critical midterm, I beg every Republican to stop voting based solely on the “R” next to a name. Do your own homework.

Democrats Have Infiltrated the Republican Party

For years, the RPOF and the RINO establishment has labeled MAGA grassroots conservatives with terms like “conspiracy nuts,” “crazies,” “loons,” and “disrupters.” At first I was shocked. Now nothing surprises me. Even well-meaning Republicans have urged me to “go along to get along.” Our Founding Fathers would be appalled.

The infiltration is real and deepening. Many Republicans prefer not to “divide” the Party. The hard truth is that the division already exists—and the real dividers are winning because too many have chosen silence.

At the American Patriot Executive Committee (APEC), we have collected petitions from hundreds of suspended true MAGA grassroots conservative patriots across Florida - - dedicated Trump supporters who once registered voters, worked polls, and knocked on doors. These are the doers, now sidelined right before a pivotal election.

What finally compelled me to pause my organizing work and write this article was the urgent need for voters to know the truth. Our coalition is hosting a “Grassroots for Grassroots” debate on Saturday, July 25 @ 12-5 pm in Manatee County that has invited all eleven gubernatorial candidates, all four Florida U.S. Senate candidates, and all three U.S. House District 16 candidates. Voters deserve this.

Who Is Behind the Misleading Messaging?

Fake voter guides. Misleading videos. Smear campaigns. The tactics have escalated for 2026. A video currently going viral, produced by someone claiming to be Republican, is a prime example. I know the individual personally; he commands little credibility among trusted America First activists in multiple counties, including Pinellas. This is the new face of the RINO establishment. Recognize the pattern - - the same Saul Alinsky tactics the left has long used are now being deployed by RINOs against conservatives within the Party.

The RPOF feeds us the same kind of misinformation that Chris Krebs, former director of the United States Cybersecurity Agency, once peddled about the 2020 presidential election being “the most secure in history.” Hardworking grassroots conservative patriots are being disparaged while the real threats to our republic grow. The best defense is simple: Find patriots that you can trust. Question everything. Verify. Vote on August 18. And fight like our country’s survival depends on it—because it does.

I never planned to spend one of my rare free Saturdays writing about RPOF corruption. But like so many patriots before me, I cannot ignore my duty when our republic is under assault from within.
