Miami, Florida - - A few days ago, the world was alarmed by the news that the United States had attacked the three key nuclear weapons centers in Iran, destroying the facilities. By 10 p.m, President Trump was already addressing the American people, accompanied by Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio and Secretary of Defense Hegseth. His words were clear and forceful: “We will not allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons to attack Israel, the United States or other countries in the world.” Trump delivered on what he promised, and today the world is a better place thanks to him. As we analyze all these events, we are reminded of the $1.7 billion gift that Obama made to the Shia Persian clerical regime before leaving office, and the lack of oversight by Congress, which never investigated this “little present.” Fortunately, a ceasefire has now been announced.
The Democrats have looked like real hypocrites by demanding Congressional approval for President Trump to bomb the nuclear weapons sites in Iran. Three Democrat U.S. Presidents bombed other countries without asking for permission. Presidents Clinton, Obama and Biden did it repeatedly and there was never a fuss.
Marco Rubio, our Secretary of State, is canceling the visas of Chinese students who are linked to the Communist Party. He has also shut down the operations of the U.S. Agency for International Development, cutting off a huge source of corruption and waste. He is our best Secretary of State since George Schultz for President Reagan.
Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida, went to Tampa airport to welcome 160 Americans who were in Israel and came to Florida amid the current crisis. An extraordinary Governor! The best in the country!
Blackouts continue in Cuba, stretching from one end of the island to the other. We don’t see how the Communist government will be able to solve this crisis. It is a true tragedy what the poor Cuban people are going through. If New York City elects a Communist Mayor, expect the same.
Lisa Murkowski, Republican Senator from Alaska, who always votes against the Republicans, announced that she may leave her party and join the Democrats. Senator Murkowski should get a serious challenge in her next Republican primary, if she stays in the party, and President Trump should back the challenger.
Summer is here! With very high temperatures and heat stifling everyone, we begin this new season that will last a few months. Lots of air conditioning, beaches, and cool places to avoid exhaustion. Also, drink water several times a day to stay hydrated.
Elon Musk reportedly lost $34 billion last week after his “little spat” with Trump. It wasn’t just a black eye—he carried it in his hand!
Cristina Saralegui, who for years dominated the Spanish-language TV audience, made a surprise return to Univision with an interview of the trendy singer Karol G. She is an excellent journalist, and we were delighted to see her back, looking great, quick-witted and charming as always. Welcome back, Cristina, and the best is yet to come!
A new poll from the popular Rasmussen organization shows Donald Trump with a lead in approval ratings—56% support him and 42% oppose his administration.
The Federal Reserve once again left interest rates unchanged and hasn’t lowered them by even a tenth of a point. Trump is very angry with Fed Chairman Powell, but the latter remains unmoved, claiming he has to wait to see the reaction to Trump’s tariffs and other economic policies.
Spain, which had until now been known for its top restaurants, only managed to get three into the top fifty. Among them, one in Madrid (Diverxo) and one in Barcelona (Enigma). San Sebastian in the Basque Country is another great place for restaurants.
The concerts of famous Spanish singer Raphael in Spain have been a true success. It’s incredible that this performer, who has triumphed over so many years, has an aggressive cancer in his head but continues singing with an impressive voice. We wish him much health and continued success!
In the annual ranking of the 50 best restaurants in the world, Peru once again claimed the Number 1 spot with Maido in Lima. But Peru didn’t stop with just that award—three other restaurants also made it into the world’s top 50: Kjolle, Mérito, and Mayda. Our congratulations to Peru for this distinction. Impressive! In Peruvian restaurants, the lomo saltado is a favorite choice.
A boyfriend says to his girlfriend: “My love, in the morning I don’t eat breakfast thinking of you. At noon I don’t eat lunch thinking of you. In the evening I don’t eat dinner thinking of you. And at night I can’t sleep.” The girlfriend, excited, asks: “Thinking of me?” And he replies: “Nooo! Because I’m starving!”
