And we thought the Left were the “Jackasses”?!?!
On April 19, 2024, in the midst of this winner-take-all battle for freedom in America, WITH A REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE LEADING EVERY POLL FOR POTUS, the RPOF sent a certified ”Cease and Desist” order to the Florida Republican Assembly.
What was the beef of the RPOF Chair, Evan Power, and his gang? They want FRA to stop using the Republican name and the elephant as a symbol of their organization, everywhere.
Dear Lord, save us from idiots.
Or, maybe, in the case of DeSantis’s Republican Party of Florida, we should ask that Florida and America be saved from their enemies, because I truly believe that is actually what is going down here. It’s pretty easy to see.
Republican Assemblies have been in existence since the 1930’s in California. The group was first formed to cross check the Republican Party in the Golden State, and bring the party back to the people. (Some things never change, I guess. . .)
Ronald Reagan, while he was Governor of California, called the Republican Assembly the “conscience of the Republican Party”.
Since then, Republican Assemblies have formed in over 30 states and Puerto Rico They are the local action arm of constitutional conservatives across the nation. Membership is open to all who believe in the Judeo-Christian foundation of our Constitutional Republic. Their membership numbers over a million nationwide.
I’d like to think the RPOF had a little more strength of character than to be intimidated by a successful group of citizens working to save our Republic. I thought that’s what the RPOF was supposed to be doing, too. Silly me.
Frankly, I think that what scares the RPOF is how successful and strong the FRA has become. If they regarded the FRA as friends and compatriots, they would never have struck out with that pettish order. The RPOF regards the FRA as a foe. Hold that thought.
The role of the FRA has been to support the RPOF in elections, and work alongside them for good Constitutional legislation. There has never before been open conflict.
The FRA is growing fast, while the RPOF of pulling back, secretizing and becoming “clubbish”. I have had a number of reports from county Republican organizations all over the state, REFUSING MEMBERSHIP to folks who wanted to join. That’s no way to grow a brand, if that is what they’d intended, but apparently, they don’t.
The Florida Republican Assembly (FRA), on the other hand, are the people working for our Constitutional principles, and they welcome all who agree with the Judeo-Christian ethic upon which our nation was founded.
FRA has grown rapidly, using the THREE-PILLAR approach. This is, literally their Operating Manual for success, because it draws people in via three levels of engagement and development into activism, wherever and however they are comfortable.
First, is Community Development, the “entry level”. Think of it as the “get off the couch level”. People are invited to help with food drives, which gather and distribute hundreds of thousands of dollars of donations to the poor; help veterans and seniors; attend parades; gather to show support for a candidate or event; and go on field trips to various places of interest. There are also youth groups forming.
Second, is Legislative Development, where people join in policy committees of their interest areas (education, energy, voting integrity, health care, etc.) to help define issues and put forth citizen preferences to the state legislators. Sometimes, as in the medical freedom legislation proposed in 2022, bills are written with the help of legislators. This is where the Calls to Action are sent to Tallahassee, and thousands contact their own representatives to make sure they are listening and acting according to citizens’ wishes. Groups attend events and rallies in numbers significant enough to call attention to issues. This is local power at its best.
Third, is Candidate Development, where leadership is taught and developed, and future candidates are trained and assisted in running for office - from local to state and national levels. There are a number of Republican Assembly candidates holding offices around the country.
The EVP of the FRA, Lou Marin, is now the NFRA national training officer. The FL VP of election integrity, Kris Jurski, has headed a team that has removed over one million bogus voter registrations around the state. He is now working on doing the same for TX, NC, WA and elsewhere!
This is a strong and successful program, especially in the state of Florida. The only reason that the RPOF could disagree is if they do NOT want conservatives to succeed. There’s plenty of work to be done together, and fragmentation/dissolution of any successful efforts can only mean one thing:
The Republican Party of Florida is NOT in support of the people of the state or the nation. They are worse than “RINO”. They have showed their hand.
Who are the big honchos in the RPOF who want to trip up their citizens? Apparently, all who go along with their actions.
The big question, as yet unasked, is WHERE IS GOVERNOR DESANTIS ON ALL OF THIS?? He has the position of authority to quash this kind of anti-American stupidity before it starts. However, as on so many other issues, he stays MIA thinking no one will notice.
How can anyone who cares about the future of our country go against earnest patriots, when there are so many ways to work well AND EFFECTIVELY together? The answer is, no one ever would, and that tells you all you need to know.
The RPOF has apparently decided to lift their rear pachy-paw on anyone NOT in the big-boys group. Adults acting like schoolyard bullies would be stupid enough, but to try to destroy your state’s conservative grassroots, who are doing so much good, in the midst of the attempted Marxist take-over of our nation is shameful, disgusting and anti-American. For starters.
In closing, I’ll have to say that, we may think of the Democrats as “jackasses” for their freedom-killing agenda, and their logo, but “D”onkeys stick together. RINOS are incapable of doing so. The RPOF is just one more example of Republicans, shooting success in the foot, trying to render it useless.
Dear God, please send light into their cerebral attics before it is too late.
Fantastic!
EVP ???
EVP = Executive Vice President!
Is this happening to all the Republican Assemblies across the country or just in Florida?
Spot On!
Sharing the hell out of it thank you.
Thank you, Meg. This needs to be shared around the country.
