Doral, Florida - The assassination attempt recently during a rally in Pennsylvania has been coming since Trump declared his candidacy for president during June 2015 in Manhattan. The progressive Democrat establishment with their unhinged rhetoric has created the environment that led to this assassination attempt.
Trump has been called “an existential threat to democracy,” and he has been compared with Hitler and other totalitarian dictators. Trump’s supporters have been called “deplorables” and “MAGA extremists.” Only a couple of weeks ago, President Biden called Trump a “dictator” and demanded that: “it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.” Biden also said: “Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation. He’s a threat to our freedom. He’s a threat to our democracy. He’s literally a threat to everything America stands for.” Nancy Pelosi added that Trump “must be stopped.”
During Trump’s presidency, comedian Cathy Griffin showed off Trump’s bloody severed head. The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, Manhattan, featured a Trump look-alike in the stabbing scene from Shakespeare’s play “Julius Caesar.” A Bernie Sanders supporter shot up a Congressional baseball practice and almost killed Congressman Steve Scalise.
Chris Eddy, Republican candidate for Congressional District 25 in Broward County, Florida, observed after Trump’s shooting: “Although it may be just politics to the left, as we saw from today’s event, some supporters take the left’s rhetoric [seriously] and are willing to go to extreme measures in order to follow their supposed instructions.”
Meg Whitman, a Silicon Valley executive, major Republican donor and Romney supporter, referred to Trump as the equivalent of Hitler and Mussolini during the presidential campaign of 2016. Now she has been rewarded with an ambassadorship to Kenya by the Obama-Biden 3.0 administration.
This rhetoric from the left has overwhelmed anything from the right. There is no moral equivalence on this question.
Establishment’s Final Solution
The establishment cannot beat Trump through the democratic process, and they have failed through other means, so they have had to try to assassinate him. This establishment includes the administrative state, woke progressive socialists, and our political crime families, as well as their RINO collaborators.
They cannot beat him through the democratic process, so they have had to resort to other means: (1) the Russia collusion hoax; (2) FISA warrants obtained using knowingly-false information; (3) two baseless impeachments; (4) a stolen presidential election; (5) a fake riot in the Capitol concocted by the administrative state; (6) a raid on his residence in Mar-a-Lago; (7) at least two Secretaries of State trying to keep him off the ballot; (8) at least six cases of wrongful lawfare, including the Bergdorf Goodman case, the case of over-valued real estate collateral, and the case of accounting for a legal expense in connection with a non-disclosure agreement, all three in New York, plus an investigation by the slut prosecutor of Fulton County, Georgia, and two federal cases in the District of Columbia and South Florida to boot; (9) jailing his associates like Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon; and (10) importing millions of illegal aliens to out-vote his American voters.
All these efforts have failed, so they have had to resort to their final solution: assassination. Progressives accuse Trump of being a threat to democracy, but the assassination of a political candidate is the real threat to democracy. When progressives say democracy, they mean like in the German Democratic Republic, 1949-90. This is what happens when we start a decade with a stolen presidential election. See the 1960’s.
Secret Service Men and Women
The shooter was allowed to climb on an unsecured roof 130 yards from the speakers’ podium, the police ignored warning from civilians that the shooter was on the roof, and the shooter was shot by a counter-sniper so that he could not be interrogated. The Secret Service must control the high ground.
Assault rifles have a range of around 600 yards, so the shooter was easily in range of the podium, and his firing position should have been secured before he arrived. A local police officer reports that he had the shooter in his sights for three minutes before firing started, but the chief of the Secret Service detail would not let him fire.
The Director of the Secret Service has proclaimed that her top priority is to make sure that 30% of their work force are women by 2030, regardless of merit. She knows that a second Trump administration would put an end to such discriminatory hiring practices. The Secret Service officer immediately in front of Trump at the podium was very brave, but she was a lot shorter than Trump, and left his head exposed. If your columnist needs to be carried out of a burning building, I hope that the fireman will be a burly guy, not a petite girl.
The Federalist digital newspaper has reported that Trump’s security detail had requested “beefed up protection and resources for weeks, but has been rebuffed time and again.” These requests must be approved by the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, who has denied Secret Service protection to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Secretary Mayorkas is also the administrator of the open-border policies of this administration, which Trump vigorously opposes. Congressman Bennie Thompson (D-MS), a member of the January 6 Select Committee, introduced legislation in April to remove Trump’s Secret Service protection in case of his felony conviction by a kangaroo court in New York.
The Director of the Secret Service previously worked as security director for PepsiCo, a private-sector corporation with much lesser security concerns. PepsiCo is a woke corporation that has lost its second place standing behind Coke for its soft-drink Pepsi. Instead, Dr. Pepper has now replaced Pepsi in second place behind Coke. Jack Welch, legendary CEO of General Electric, used to say that there is room in every industry segment for the top two leaders, but below that it is hard to survive business fluctuations. Watch out for the price of PepsiCo’s stock to drop in the future. Get woke, go broke!

The Work Forward
We were all chosen for such a time as this, to do whatever our part may be, so let’s get to work. The motto of the medieval monasteries was: “Ora et Labora,” meaning “Pray and Work.” At the Trump rally in Doral earlier this week, your columnist discussed with a fellow participant what would happen if Trump suffered a medical incident that knocked him out of the campaign. Many Never Trumpers have been hoping for this, but Trump has a lot of stamina and does not drink alcohol, so he is probably too healthy for this to happen.
We did not discuss the threat of assassination, but now that threat is real, and we must prepare for this threat. We must raise our guard, and do all we can for victory in November. As Winston Churchill observed when he was named Prime Minister in May 1940: “Without victory there is no survival.”
