According to witnesses that have come forward, The Miami Independent can report Lee County Supervisor of Elections Tommy Doyle had an affair with a subordinate and visited her residence many times during work hours, according to gate records from her lodging complex.
Below are examples of multiple records we have obtained from gate access documents.
An EEOC complaint was filed after the affair ended.
According to testimony, Mr. Doyle instructed the subordinate to rescend the complaint, resign and take severance pay of 20 weeks for doing so. This was during Covid. The woman had medical issues and needed money. It is our understanding the issue was not disclosed to county commissioners.
