Fans at the Kaseya Center on Sunday waited in line for what they thought was going to be a show by Argentinian performer TINI, but instead they were told the show was cancelled for reasons having nothing to do with the artist or Kaseya Center, and that their money would be refunded. TINI is currently on tour with FUTTTURA. She was scheduled to perform at 8 pm.
Fans gathered outside the Kaseya Center where TINI was scheduled to perform Sunday night were told of the last-minute cancellation via an outdoor screen.
NBC 6 reported that Ake Music Productions, the company behind the event, shared an Instagram statement blaming the cancellation on a lack of essential technical and production conditions that had been requested earlier to allow the show to go on. TINI and her team are said to have had no control over these circumstances.
TINI has taken to Instagram afterwards to apologize to her fans for the show not going ahead of FUTTTURA tonight at the Kaseya Center in Miami. She says her team had made every effort to adjust the production to make it work but that serious technical and safety requirements that had been promised were not in place. She shares that the arena was delivered many hours behind schedule and that most of the installation work had not been completed. Furthermore, she reveals that main audio, lighting, video and communications systems were not working and that there were key safety checks that could not be carried out – particularly for her aerial work.
TINI said she will release an official statement to the press at a later date regarding the situation at the Kaseya Center.
