According to the Miami-Dade Elections Department, whom we spoke with today, the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee has not filed committee election reports with the MD Elections Department as required by Florida law for over two years.
The 2022 Florida Statutes (including 2022 Special Session A and 2023 Special Session B):
Each county executive committee shall file with the state executive committee and with the supervisor of elections the names and addresses of its officers and members.
Per Article 3 Sect. 5 of the RPOF County Model Constitution:
The Chairman of the county executive committee or his designee, shall file with the state executive committee and the Supervisor of Elections, the names and addresses of its officers and member within 30 days of their election.
RPOF Executive Director Helen Aguirre Ferré was at the last meeting of the MD REC when the issue was raised and has not issued a statement on the matter, nor responded to our request for comment as of publication.
The Republican Party of Florida office has not returned our request for comment.
