Tally's Solution For America First And The People's Choices

Sound familiar?? It should. Last summer, before the primaries, those infamous “Voter Guides” were circulated to counties that had a good bit of agricultural land, which was wanted by developers. The voter guides were an attempt to elect Tallahassee’s (aka , developers’) choices. They were not as effective as hoped, but they did lead to more

Now, Tallahassee has a solution for the problem of their developer friends: SB 1118

The fake voter guides occurred as Tallahassee scurried to keep true MAGA people off of county boards, city councils and school boards. These guides were sent to Manatee, Hillsborough, St. Lucie, Brevard, Lake and Sarasota initially, then portions of several others. Where MAGA Republicans were gaining power.

SB 1118 addresses that “problem” - of having land that developers desire, under the control of counties and towns that did not want more development. Tally to the rescue! Of the developers, that is.

SB 1118 was voted out of Community Affairs Committee March 17. Next, the bill goes to the “Regulated Industries Committee” and one other, for a hearing. Then, to the floor for a vote. I don’t want to wear the armband of cynicism, but this may all be, although procedural, just a handy way to let the bill drift away from the pier of public outrage.

As the Triangle Sun puts it, “SB1118 would outlaw any local referendums to regulate housing density.” Who wants to live in a UN Agenda-type packed community??

Currently, there are density and land use rules, but, under SB 1118, local governments are not allowed a say. The bill OUTLAWS any local referendums to regulate housing density and would undo any decisions already made by local councils. Any annexation agreements between city/county and developer which had given citizens the veto power over development proposals, would be annulled. SB 1118 would instantly override local plan groups by forcing the county/town to accept developers’ plans in any land labelled “AGRICULTURAL ENCLAVES”, in developments up to 100 ACRES.

The types of land that can be considered agricultural enclaves is also expanded, to the point where much of the land of counties could literally be paved over.

In Lake County, I understand that Anthony Sabatini has a petition against SB1118, which has over 1000 signatures. Probably just a “dog and phoney show”, learned from DeGov. Sen. President Passadomo also is against the bill, she says.

NB: Florida. Your state government does not CARE what you want. They don’t even pretend anymore.

Next, I have a story about two J6-ers from Florida, one of whom is being kept from running for office because he is anti-development, and, the other, who has learned to blow the Tally horn.

I believe that when the state of Florida went 81.3% to Donald Trump in November 2024, Tallahassee cranked it up. Trump people believe in the Constitutuion and the people’s rights. Tallahassee believes the opposite; this has gone on too long to even pretend that Florida is currently a member of a constitutional republic.

Saddle them up and ride them hard, Floridians. If you cannot prevent this takeover of the peoples’ choices, soon you may not even find a place to keep your horse.

this will also allow them to build fuel farms and chemical storage sites, right next to subdivisions and housing projects, because they can.
florida, you need to wake up and fast.
NIMBY needs to be not in ANY backyard, because if you let them do this to your neighbor, trust me, the greed knows no bounds, and your precious little 2 million dollar rish bish house will be the next sacrificial lamb to an amazon warehouse facility, complete with railcar spur slammed in.

Our Tallahassee reps are just wh0res for the buying. Especially "Republicans". These are the sellouts that have given Pubbies bad names forever.

DeSantis is not credible, and was a gross embarrassment on the campaign trail, as well as a traitor to the man who pulled him over he finish line in 2018, one President Trump.

My poor state. The Pubbies are almost as despicable as Gillum Dims. Ugh.
