It is long past time to bring Florida politics into the famous SUNSHINE!
Tallahassee has forgotten that they work for the people; they seem to prefer dealing in the shadows. This is NOT the American way, and Floridians are joining together to remind and/or remand them back to the proper workings of government under the US Constitution.
In Florida, politicians are able to control elections, and citizens’ rights to self-governance through Political Committees (PC), with NO public accountability of who donates or spends what, when, or where. This not only impacts the constitutional rights of the citizens, but also their health, finances, and kinds of communities in which they live.
This is able to occur, thanks to a piece of legislation passed 12 years ago, when Rick Scott was governor.
SB569, was passed in 2013, allowing virtually unlimited amounts of money to flow from corporations, unions, wealthy individuals et. al., into various political organizations and committees. It is still in effect today, a handy tool that has been used to disenfranchise the people.
Under this bill, donations are virtually unidentifiable and unlimited as to amount. They are able to be moved around from PC to PC; none is earmarked to a specific candidate, or program, but rather is used anywhere Tallahassee chooses. Contributions from individuals, however, are limited to $500 per candidate.
The dark monies seem to go to support those who will do as purchased.
Solar energy, more and more development where none is needed or wanted, destruction of agricultural lands, roads paved with radiation, disenfranchisement of duly elected individuals, budget-busting property taxes and insurance - the list could go on and on, but these are just a few examples of where the priorities of Tallahassee differ from those of their citizens.
There’s an old saying that “money is the root of all evil . There are some very strong roots growing at this time in Florida. We are living witness to how politics, conducted in darkness, is the most fertile ground in which this root can grow, both nationally and in our state and local governments.
Florida politics has grown a real bumper crop of this evil.
If the Sunshine State is to be truly free, things MUST be addressed and changed.
As it stands, PC money is a criminal enterprise which strips citizens of their rights under the law. If things do not change, the “Free State of Florida” will be blanketed with a California-blue, freedom-killing fog.
THIS IS AN ISSUE FOR ALL OF FLORIDA REGARDLESS OF PARTY AFFILIATION. Therefore, I urge all citizens of the Sunshine State to help to pull back the curtains cloaking the dark money games with which they are living.
The Brevard County Republican Executive Committee (REC) recognizes all of this, and has written and passed - by a 95-16 vote - a resolution which addresses this issue — to revisit and clean up all aspects of Florida’s campaign finance laws.
With the goal of putting state-wide pressure on Tallahassee, Brevard REC members are INVITING EVERY COUNTY IN THE STATE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS DISCUSSION, WED., MAY 21, 2025, 7 p.m. EST, via a state-wide Zoom meeting. At this meeting, information will be shared; the need for assistance, focused; plans outlined; and possible next steps, formulated.
Zoom connections are listed at the end of this article. Join in Wed., May 15, to learn how Floridians can stand most effectively together to regain their constitutional rights.
Please click on the following link to the website, www.ultramagapatriots.com , then click “Blog”, where an abbreviated resolution can be found.
The Political Committee Contribution cap must be restored - the free state of Florida depends on it!
Other groups around the state are already taking steps to shine light on the how they have been abused by government.
*Palm Beach County has just hosted “Rule of Law/Peoples’Grand Jury Oversight Committee, this past Thursday. From their website, “the Palm Beach County Grand Jury Oversight Committee is a private, independent citizen-led initiative guided by the Holy Spirit and the US Constitution based upon Amendment V, 18USC3332, 18 USC241, and 18USC 242; protecting the historical authority of Grand Juries to independently investigate crime and corruption by public officials or private actors—free from undue interference.”
*The Precinct Coalition, represented by Trent Wayman of Manatee, has just released a letter written to most members of the RPOF, addressing the specifics of the disenfranchisement process as it was effectuated on Manatee County in 2023 - 24. Please read this!
*“Recall Florida” also stands for citizens rights, in those 40 Florida counties which are deprived of the ability to remove bad public officials. Go to their website to learn more.
*The creator and leader of the election integrity group, The-People’s-Audit, Kris Jurski, has spoken up on “X” about this subject. He says, “The Patriots in Manatee County followed all the rules . . .and . . . the RPOF shut (them) down stating they were “disfunctional”. Please read Kris’s full remarks on “X”. Kris is scheduled to participate in Wednesday’s Zoom meeting.
*There is also a NATIONAL effort, Reclaimcampaign.com, which is reaching out to organize patriots across the nation, in the face of unconstitutional acts from the establishment. This group has scheduled a meeting in St. Petersburg, FL, Saturday, July 26, 2025. Go to their website for information; soon they will be accepting reservations for what is, at this point, a free event.
Across the state, citizens of every party affiliation are concerned about what Tallahassee and their dark money has done to their rights. Self-governance, key among them. They are watching the legislature carefully, tracking bills and proposals.
BTW, no election reform legislation, although repeatedly requested by citizens, has been passed.
There is a call for fixing SB 180, currently “on deck” in Tallahassee, awaiting vote for approval. This bill, should it be passed, prevents “thoughtful and safe changes” to the development codes of the state. If passed, it extends restrictions on citizen involvement through 10/2027. SB 250, already voted into law, preempts local development codes and citizens’right to self-governance.
“Hands Off Our Hometowns!” is the Manatee County Action Alert.
The people are awake, and this online meeting will sound a state-wide alarm.
America MUST be able to trust their government. We have waded through decades of political offal, as our precious republic sank lower and our lives, with it. This must change.
Our elected officials have a fiduciary responsibility to manage the money we give them through our taxes. A fiduciary responsibility speaks to “Care, loyalty, good faith, serving best interests”. Florida’s government has either forgotten or or could care less, that they have a legal duty to their constituents.
The State of Florida is still a part of a constitutional republic and its government needs to govern accordingly. State-wide pressure, and the accompanying publicity, will go a long way to reminding the Tallahassee of its obligations under the law.
Please read the Florida Code of Ethics, especially
s/112.311 Legislative intent and declaration of policy.—
(1) . . . The public interest, therefore, requires that the law protect against any conflict of interest and establish standards for the conduct of elected officials and government
You will find the Florida Code of Ethics, Ch 112, Pt, III very enlightening. I’m guessing that few in the legislature are familiar with it.

In 2021, Gov. DeSantis told the Epoch Times that “Floridians should have the ability to participate in elections free from interference. . . .
It is well past time to hold him and his government to those words.
Be the change.
