Venice, Florida –– Last weekend, the Reclaim Campaign of grassroots conservatives held its first statewide gathering in Venice, Florida—and it rocked the state! [See: www.reclaimcampaign.com.] American government was never intended to be a top-down operation. Instead, it is meant to be of, by and for the people—that’s American populism. The Reclaim Campaign seeks to reclaim our freedom, our government and our trust in public institutions.
The event was led by Raj Doraisamy, founder of Defend Florida, the leading grassroots conservative group in the state. The day’s guiding principle came from James 1:22 (ESV): “Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
The opening prayer asked for God’s protection from the persecution that grassroots conservatives face from Republican Party authorities. Scripture tells us this would happen, but God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthened by our Creator, the assembly pledged to resist, endure and persevere. All present believed they were in the right place at the right time.

The Speakers
The speakers were chosen not for fame or notoriety, but for their real-world experience—true operators in the trenches:
Bob White
Long-time Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida (RLC), a group of libertarians who understand that in America, third parties rarely succeed. They work within the Republican Party, despite the frustrations. They call themselves “The Conscience of the Republican Party”—as if that were a thing.
Bob called for campaign finance reform, focusing on how Political Action Committees (PACs) obscure funding sources and how legislative leaders control the political process. He quoted Lord Acton: “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” warning that GOP super-majorities in both chambers of the state legislation have resulted in less conservative legislation. PACs contribute to one another to hide ultimate funding sources—a central part of the scheme.

Cathi Chamberlain
Founder of www.PinellasWatchdogs.org and author of Rules for Deplorables and the upcoming Rules for RINOs. She echoed General Flynn’s point: “Local Action = National Impact.”
Cathi passionately organizes grassroots groups across Florida to take back their communities through strategic activism. She stressed that professional politicians often fail to represent ordinary citizens because the legislature functions top-down. Her advice: every grassroots conservative should have a state legislator on speed dial—ready to contact them at key moments.
David Kalin
A business entrepreneur and Chairman of the Republican Executive Committee (REC) of Charlotte County. Earlier this year, he ran as the grassroots candidate against Evan Power for Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. Many electors supported him but were too financially dependent on state leadership to vote freely.
His solution? Encourage county RECs to engage in micro-fundraising, giving them greater independence and autonomy. His motto is:
EMILY = Early Money Is Like Yeast—it makes the dough rise!
David also warned about progressives running as Republicans. With Florida now a predominantly red state, progressives seek office under the GOP label, only revealing their true agendas once elected. That’s the very definition of a RINO—Republican In Name Only.

Dave Walsh
A frequent guest on Bannon’s War Room, he can be found at www.X.com/davewalshenergy. Dave exposed how Florida’s energy policy has been hijacked by technocrats, corporate cronies, and green scam artists—resulting in energy that is less affordable, less reliable, and less environmentally friendly.
Florida’s energy policy is overseen by the Public Service Commission, all appointed by Governor DeSantis. Since at least 2020, around 90% of the investments in power generation by the state’s three largest utilities—Florida Power & Light, Duke Energy, and Tampa Electric—have gone to wind and solar instead of natural gas, clean coal or nuclear. This trend is set to continue for another decade.
These "green" sources are:
1. More expensive;
2. Less reliable (they don’t operate 24/7); and
3. More damaging to the environment due to land use.
The result? Potentially the largest rate hikes in Florida history, and a diminished power supply.
The state’s energy policy, warped by regulation and cronyism, is also out of step with the new energy strategy being promoted by the Trump administration.
Susan Sweetin
A mother whose newborn was permanently injured by a required vaccine. This personal tragedy led her to move from New Jersey to Florida and become an advocate for health freedom. Her website is www.wtphealthcare.com. She believes Florida can lead the way on this issue.
In our current medical-industrial complex, dissent is punished and questioning is forbidden. Her response? Build a parallel medical system rooted in truth, making the current corrupt one obsolete.
Berny Jacques
State Representative (R–59th District) for Clearwater and Pinellas County. He works closely with Cathi Chamberlain and Pinellas Watchdogs. When grassroots election integrity bills are needed, Berny delivers. But he needs reinforcements—lest he end up like Anthony Sabatini or Mike Beltran.
Berny’s election integrity work includes:
1. Requiring proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration
2. Limiting Vote-by-Mail, which lacks voter ID, chain of custody, and has subjective signature verification
3. Opposing criminalization of poll watchers through fake harassment charges
4. Standing against the FSE (Florida Supervisors of Elections, Inc.)—a private-sector cartel of public election officials

Breakout Sessions
After a hearty buffet lunch, delegates attended breakout sessions:
1. Lance Wissinger, Director of Political Operations at Hennessy Strategies, spoke on navigating Florida’s political landscape.
2. Ruth Kaufhold, Brevard County Constitution Coach, taught about the Constitution and the “Matrix of Liberty.”
3. Alan Ross, Chairman of We the People of Brevard County, discussed campaign finance.
4. Mike Cartwright, 21-year veteran of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, addressed illegal immigration.
5. Melissa King, a lead event organizer, explained how to find, train and equip successful candidates and run winning campaigns.
Other exhibitors included:
• Michelle Martin of Citizens for Renewing America
• Robert Goodman and Chris Fontenot of Citizens Defending Freedom
This event drew more than 250 participants. Similar events are likely for October in Brevard County and February in Miami-Dade County.
