Doral, Florida — The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) held its quarterly meeting at the Hilton Hotel on Destination Parkway in Orlando. At 12:00 noon, the American Patriot Executive Committee (APEC) held a press conference outside the hotel to express opposition to how the leadership of the RPOF establishment has been suspending grassroots conservatives from the Republican Party.
The newly founded APEC livestreamed the event, marking the first of many initiatives planned for this year and next—including the Reclaim Campaign Summit in Miami Lakes on Saturday, February 7—leading up to supporting MAGA candidates in the Republican primary elections on Tuesday, August 18. This press conference was organized to highlight an alarming new trend being carried out by the RPOF against the patriots of the MAGA movement.
The press conference featured MAGA patriots who have been purged from the Republican Party in the past year. APEC announced plans to expose this dangerous practice that threatens to destroy President Trump’s most effective MAGA leaders in his own home state. He should know what is happening.

The lineup of speakers included some of Trump’s most loyal and impactful supporters in Florida. The following individuals, now Republicans without a Party, shared their experiences for all to hear:
1. Robin Lumb (Duval County) — Former Chairman of the Republican Executive Committee (REC) of Duval County. Suspended by the RPOF for also being a member of the Florida Republican Assembly (FRA), which the RPOF views as competition. The RPOF even claimed that the term “Republican” and the elephant symbol are its private property. Lumb stated that the RPOF is controlled by lobbyists focused on making money, not advancing a conservative agenda.
2. Connie Brunni (Sarasota County) — A duly elected Precinct Committeewoman suspended for her work with the FRA. Brunni began her activism with the California chapter of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies before moving to Florida. The FRA, active in Florida since 1998, endorses candidates in primaries—often opposing RPOF-backed candidates.
3. Bob Valenta (Lee County) — Another duly elected Precinct Committeeman, suspended for his associations with the FRA, APEC, the Reclaim Campaign and other grassroots groups. He accused the RPOF of trying to control all political activities of party members—“Stasi America,” he called it—and said the leadership has even supported Democrat candidates.
4. Melissa Thorne (Volusia County) — A Precinct Committeewoman who ran for State Committeewoman, identifying as an America First patriot and member of the new America First Party of Florida. She criticized the RPOF for corruption and for ignoring her calls for Election Integrity legislation, alleging that the Party opposes such reforms because its Chairman works for a lobbying firm owned by the Executive Director of the Florida Supervisors of Elections, Inc.—an opponent of Election Integrity.
5. Tom Lord (Osceola County) — FRA member who ran for office in 2022 without support from his county REC, which instead endorsed two Democrats. He described RPOF leadership as dictatorial and interfering in local party affairs.
6. Jenn Wayman (Manatee County) — Spoke on behalf of her husband, Trent Wayman, who was suspended after MAGA insurgents won local party and primary elections. The RPOF then dissolved the entire county REC. They were also targeted with fake voter guides distributed by groups indirectly linked to the RPOF.
7. Jacki Heisse (Manatee County) — Duly elected State Committeewoman suspended when the RPOF dissolved the county REC. Now active in the FRA, she called on RNC Chairman Joe Gruters to “fix it or resign.” She said the RPOF is controlled by donors who seek control, not competition.
8. Rick Lacey (Brevard County) — Recently suspended as county REC Chairman. He said the RPOF is run by lobbyists who suppress competition and democratic participation, and accused the RPOF of distributing fake voter guides. He urged that the RPOF be run by volunteers, not career politicians, and called for Gruters’ resignation after major Republican losses last Tuesday.
9. Barbara Vaughn (Sarasota County) — Spoke on behalf of Terry Langley, President of the Southwest Florida America First Caucus, a former chartered Republican club that surrendered its charter to avoid RPOF restrictions. The RPOF sued the group for membership funds, and the trial last month drew a packed courthouse of supporters.
10. David Kalin (Charlotte County) — Former county REC Chairman suspended last month despite being unanimously elected. Earlier this year, he challenged Evan Power for RPOF Chairman. Kalin accused RPOF leadership of funding Democrat campaigns and attacking MAGA Republicans, declaring the GOP must stand for “God, family and country”—or end up like New York City.
11. Cathi Chamberlain (Pinellas County) — A Precinct Committeewoman for 10 years until her suspension last month. Co-founder of Pinellas Watchdogs, and author of Rules for Deplorables (2018) and Rules for RINOs (2025). Suspended without a hearing for baseless grievances. She said the RPOF must be purged from the top down but urged conservatives to stay and fight rather than quit the Party. “Last Tuesday’s elections showed MAGA must stay engaged,” she said. (Contact: [email protected])
Michelle Pozzie (Sarasota County) — An investigative journalist with Coastal Conservative News ([email protected]), she stepped in to emphasize that the RPOF is purging MAGA patriots rather than empowering them.
She said that she is willing to join the Party, but its leadership has blocked her because she too was purged. Pozzie urged voters to ask county leaders—and gubernatorial candidates Byron Donalds, Paul Renner, and likely Jay Collins—where they stand on this issue. She is running for School Board next year but is unsure whether to do so as a Republican, and is working with Defend Florida.
These stories show that the attacks are widespread and systemic. APEC’s mission is to awaken Florida’s MAGA base by exposing the RPOF’s actions that are weakening the Party when it can least afford division.
APEC called on supporters to share this story and join their coalition ([email protected]). The coalition seeks to unite MAGA groups statewide to speak with one voice against the RINO establishment’s attempted takeover of Trump’s base. The Party belongs to the people—and the people have united behind President Trump, not the RINO elite now running the RPOF.
Grievances by RINOs Against MAGA
The grievances filed by RPOF leadership against grassroots conservatives violate freedom of speech and association, and serve only to protect the establishment from conservative challengers. Examples include:
1. “Divisive Rhetoric — Cathi Chamberlain has repeatedly referred to fellow Republicans as ‘RINOs,’ including during public events. Such language fosters division and undermines party unity.”
2. “Cathi Chamberlain has promoted events by Defend Florida, a group known for canvassing voter rolls and promoting ‘unsubstantiated’ election fraud claims. These events have strategized to remove established Republican leaders.” (The RPOF opposes President Trump’s call to eliminate vote-by-mail.)
3. “Chamberlain is a leading figure in Pinellas Watchdogs, which has criticized local Republican leadership and encouraged grassroots challenges to incumbents.”
4. “Chamberlain served as campaign manager for [a J6 political prisoner], a State House candidate.” The RINOs, of course, call January 6 an insurrection instead of acknowledging it as largely a Deep State setup to cover up a stolen election.
Party unity, my ass! Because of similar grievances, many of the state’s most dedicated MAGA Republicans have been suspended. These tactics by the RPOF are even more brazen than the RINO establishment’s crackdown on the Tea Party movement after 2009.

RINOs Lose Without MAGA
These attacks are particularly self-destructive when viewed in light of this week’s elections in Virginia, New Jersey, New York City, and elsewhere:
1. Overall turnout was low.
2. Democrat turnout was high, as they remain perpetually mobilized against MAGA.
3. MAGA Republicans largely stayed home, victims of RINO-led voter suppression.
As a result, Republicans suffered a Blue Wave in 2025—a pattern likely to repeat next year. For example, President Trump received more votes in both Virginia and New Jersey last year than either of this year’s Democrat gubernatorial winners. Without MAGA, Republican turnout collapses.
Is that what the RINOs want? Would they rather lose and let Democrats govern, than win with MAGA? They did it in 2018 and 2020—why wouldn’t they do it again?
If the Republican Party allows its RINO leadership to drive out the MAGA conservative base, and instead collaborates with Democrats, then America’s future will resemble that of New York City—Communism and Jihad.
