Scanning the morning news, I ran across THIS on JoeHoft.com

“BIG MISTAKE: DeSantis Press Secretary Claims President Trump is in His Basement “ This, on the day that the Trump family was at the funeral of Melania’s mother, Mrs. Amalija Knavs!

Nice job at adding a more fuel to the funeral pyre of his little man! Aren’t press secretaries supposed to do the opposite?

Jeremy Redfern posted on Twitter (aka”X”) that Haley, Biden AND TRUMP were all in their basements after Iowa. In a vain and desperate attempt to elevate the failed candidate from Florida, Ron DeSantis’s PRESS SECRETARY rushed to lift his leg on the candidate who is miles ahead in the polls. I am reminded of that old adage about “whizzing in the wind” . . . . At this point, I have to admit, that if it were my job to sell DeSantis to the country, I would be feeling some desperation as well. That’s why I don’t try; I go for the truth. You just get yourself wet when you do stupid stuff like this, Jeremy.

The public reaction was quick and negative. DeSantis has had plenty of time to respond and correct his Press Secretary for his comment. Crickets.

Trump is so far above DeSantis and his motley crew that, may I suggest, NONE including the candidate himself, can lift their leg high enough to hit their imagined target. Small people just nibble around the ankles of larger ones, and the DeSantis team has shown themselves more pathetic by the day. No, Jeremy, this is NOT a case of David and Goliath, and your failed candidate is no giant-killer. That is already proven. Many times over.

This happened, mind you, on top of the Iowa Caucus “freeze-out”. In case you missed that one, here’s the scoop. In a rally in sub-zero weather, the DeSantis tour bus parked outside the venue - across all of the handicapped parking spaces in front of the building — where DeGov was speaking to a small group. Bad enough, right? THEN, in what has become his style, the candidate had his team eject a man in a wheelchair into the sub-zero cold! The man’s crime: Wearing the hat of a local politician who is a known Trump supporter.

Also, there was the guy who walked up and presented DeSantis with a participation trophy on Jan. 13 who also got tossed from the event. Come on, where’s your sense of humor, Ron?

See my Substack, “The DeMise of DeSantis” from Jan. 16 in the Miami Independent.

DeGov did the same last year in Leesburg, FL, at one of his book signings which he used to launch his stealth campaign before declaring. In that case, seniors there had the audacity to wear Trump gear and carry signage for DJT. For their crimes, DeSantis had his security remove them from the parking lot of the mall, and ask that they be arrested.

The message is, Damn those people who disagree with the Short One. It has the sounds of a totalitarian, not a POTUS.

These kinds of actions represent the character of the candidate., even if not quite as above. He, as I have reported before, is extremely uncomfortable in unscripted situations, which are about 99% of a campaign trail. The reason I keep emphasizing it is this:

The office of President of the United States is unscripted many times a day. Every day. Use your imagination to fill in the details. Look at the pile of rugs that were continuously pulled out from under Donald Trump. - for five years, 2015 — 2020! DeSantis may have some crazy notion that as a RINO/Globalist candidate, the way would be smoothed over for him should he win. Think again, Ron, if you’ve thought about it at all.

I am more inclined to believe that his character flaws never crossed the minds of him or his team before he abandoned his constituents in Florida. I do know that some of the, I believe, Karl- Rove part of the team, met privately and wanted to urge him NOT to run, shortly before he jumped ship into those scary campaign waters. I have no information as to whether their candidates personal malfunctions, as described, could have played into their thoughts.

Like him or not, Donald Trump is known for his kindness to strangers in unscripted situations. He stops what he is doing to care for others in need, and has done so throughout his life. Remember allowing Jennifer Hudson to stay gratis, in one of his hotels after her family was killed? There are many other examples. Please do read the above link, or this one, as the press has worked hard to bury his kindnesses in their litter box of crap.

DeSmall one has proven that “small” fits more than his height. A man’s stature includes his character, and I do not like what I have found in DeGov. From scamming his constituents on their requests for a bill to protect their medical freedom, to mandating the use of very insecure voting machines while disallowing any audits or hand-counts, the governor has shown a lack of character. Not to mention his abdication of his responsibilities as governor, which he’d just promised to fulfill.

I’ll stop there. You get it..
