Ormond Beach, Florida - Gerry James is the conservative MAGA candidate in the Republican primary election for State Senate District 7, around St. Augustine and Ormond Beach, against a RINO supported by the establishment of the Republican Party of Florida. This election will take place on Tuesday, August 20, with two weeks of early voting.

This last Saturday in Ormond Beach, the Florida Republican Assembly hosted a rally on Gerry’s behalf. This event was attended by over 150 enthusiastic grassroots conservatives. The audience was made up of ordinary citizens who believe that the Republican establishment in Tallahassee is not championing our MAGA and America First agenda.

The Florida Republican Assembly that hosted this rally is the state chapter of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. This grassroots conservative group was founded in California during the New Deal of the 1930’s and came to Florida in the 1990’s. They were founded in order to support conservative candidates against progressive Republicans like Governor Earl Warren, who interned Japanese-Americans and later was appointed by President Eisenhower as Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court in the 1950’s and 60’s. Ronald Reagan worked well with this group during his time as Governor of California during 1967-74. He called them the “conscience of the Republican party.”

Their membership includes Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, former Senator Rick Santorum, Morton Blackwell of the Leadership Institute, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, and Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform. They won the support of both Patrick Buchanan and Steve Forbes

The FRA pursues a three-pronged approach:

    (1) Community Development: participation in local food drives, help to veterans and seniors, and attendance at parades and events.
    (2) Legislative Development: lobby State Representatives and Senators. In the area of election integrity, the FRA has: (A) opposed the influence of the Florida Association of Supervisors of Elections—FSE, a private cabal of public administrators; (B) called for the resignation of Secretary of State Cord Byrd, appointed by Governor DeSantis, for malfeasance in office; and (C) warned about the vulnerability of voting machines.
    (3) Candidate Development: training and supporting conservative candidates against establishment RINO’s in primary elections. The FRA seeks to recruit activists for the Republican Party, to elect conservative leadership for party offices, and to support conservative candidates in contested party primaries. This work in contested primaries, such as FRA’s support for Gerry James in Senate District 7, surely has caught the attention of the RPOF.

In particular, the FRA spoke out and helped defeat SB721 during the legislative session earlier this year. This bill reflects a fake progressive narrative which would have weaponized lawfare against poll workers for so-called harassment of election officials. It was the top legislative priority of the FSE, which hired the lobbying firm, Ramba Consulting, where the head of the RPOF, Evan Power, works, in order to enact it. Its defeat surely did not please the RPOF about the work of the FRA.

Other election integrity legislation championed by the FRA during the last legislative session includes: (1) HB369 carried by Representative Jacques, allowing ballots to be hand-counted, which died in committee; (2) SB1752 carried by Senator Ingoglia, scaling back Vote-By-Mail, which also died in committee; and (3) SB602 carried by Senator Gruters, which would have verified the United States citizenship status of registered voters, but was the third legislative initiative to die in committee. Senate President Passidomo and House Speaker Renner were particularly unhelpful to the election integrity cause, as were Representatives Fabricio and Barnaby.

The FRA seeks to register voters and to recruit poll-workers, poll-watchers, door-knockers and precinct captains. These are all tasks that the RPOF fails to do, especially in a large county like Miami-Dade. The RPOF is not a private club that may exclude others from its lane in the political process. The FRA includes as part of its mission to reform and reclaim the Republican party, so that it will consistently follow a Christian, conservative and constitutional path, but the RPOF believes that it ain’t ready for reform. Accordingly, the FRA operates independent of the party hierarchy.

The FRA has been growing its activism, thereby threatening the RPOF, which has been wracked by corruption, perversion and incompetence. The FRA has come into conflict with the RPOF: (1) not only in contested primaries; (2) but also in the legislative process.

Since the presidential election of 2020 was stolen, many conservatives have become more active in our movement, the election-integrity community and the Republican party. They have been shocked by what they discovered.

    Lawfare By RPOF Against FRA

Accordingly, at this point in our polarized political climate, the RPOF felt the need to pay its lawyers to send a “cease and desist” letter to the Florida Republican Assembly. This letter demands that the FRA stop using the term Republican in its name, and stop using the elephant symbol. Heck, the RPOF is the one engaged in deceptive advertisement and committing consumer fraud in its name. They should change their name to the “RINO Party of Florida,” and change their symbol to a rhinoceros.

This lawfare by the RPOF against the FRA is similar to the lawfare by Democrats against Trump. In both cases: (1) the plaintiffs fear the defendants; (2) envy their ability to connect with We The People; and (3) know they can’t beat them in a fair fight.

The RPOF says that they are protecting their brand. They treat politics like a business, with quid pro quo transactions, instead of a cause to preserve liberty. They do not seek to preserve liberty, but to earn a living and enhance their net worth from working at politics. They are career politicians and lobbyists, with little experience or success in the business sector. These are the type of office-holders that America’s founders rebelled against.

The RPOF is afraid of the competition from the FRA and other grassroots conservative groups.

    Illegal Aliens Flying Into Florida

On Governor DeSantis’ watch, the Obama-Biden 3.0 administration has flown over 326,000 illegal aliens into Florida.

In many cases, the Florida administrative state providing public assistance, like the Department of Children and Families, has mailed them voter registration forms.

Secretary of State Cord Byrd, appointed by Governor DeSantis, has admitted that there is no procedure in place to confirm the United States citizenship status of registered voters.

The RINO leadership of the Florida legislature has rejected efforts by grassroots conservative groups to enact legislation requiring proof of United States citizenship before registering to vote.

This massive failure by RINO leadership, including the RPOF, is fueling a rebellion by conservative Republican voters in the upcoming primary elections to support MAGA candidates like Gerry James.

    Gerry’s Support

Gerry has received not only the support of the Florida Republican Assembly, but also the endorsement of the Republican Liberty Caucus. The RLC is another grassroots conservative group that operates independent of, but parallel with, the Republican establishment. This establishment consists of the RNC, RPOF and REC’s. In addition, the RLC, like the FRA, also calls itself the “conscience of the Republican party.” It seems that the Republican party needs a lot of auxiliary consciences.

These auxiliary consciences are needed because of the Republican establishment’s proclivity to yield to progressive positions, both from inside the party as well as from Democrats. See our current United States House Speaker Johnson (R-LA), previously a conservative Republican. Other Republican leaders who have been proven spineless and drifted to the left, in order to join the Swamp, include Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell. In Texas, of all places, the last House Speaker also governed with support from Democrats.

While the FRA represents Christian conservatives, and the RLC represents libertarians, both groups consist of registered Republican voters and activists. Both groups eschew third parties, like the Libertarian Party, Reform Party or any other, because in American politics, third parties are for losers. Just ask Ross Perot.

The RPOF is more aligned with progressive Republicans like Earl Warren and the Bush dynasty, while the FRA is more aligned with conservative Republicans like Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump, and the RLC is more aligned with libertarians like Jack Kemp and Ron Paul..

These grassroots conservative groups, like the FRA, the RLC and others, avoid submitting to the hierarchy of the Republican Party establishment because of its corruption, perversion and incompetence.

The conservative cause does not reside in the Republican party, or in its officially-designated affiliates like the RNC, RPOF and REC’s. Instead, it resides in grassroots conservative groups like the FRA, RLC and others. Now that conservatives have been completely run out of the Democrat party, the Republican party is our only partisan home. Nevertheless, we will not submit to the Republican hierarchy. You don’t see the Democrat party pursuing lawfare against Democratic Socialists of America.

    Republican Denominations

In any event, the most efficient course for the Republican party in Florida to pursue is to operate simultaneously along parallel fronts, with no exclusivity: (1) the RNC, RPOF and REC’s for establishmentarians; (2) the FRA for Christian conservatives; and (3) the RLC for libertarians. One religion but several denominations.
