[Doral, Florida] Broward County may be mostly blue territory, but its southwest corner, including the city of Pembroke Pines, contains Florida House District 103. This district is 44% Hispanic, the highest percentage in Broward County, a demographic that is trending conservative. Argentine-American Jorge Navarini, a conservative activist, is running to represent this district in the State House of Representatives.

Hispanics in Florida are exiles from progressive socialist government in Latin America, just like transplants from Blue States in America. See: https://miamiindependent.com/the-spirit-of-59-and-the-free-state-of-florida/. Very often transplants are more conservative than natives, because transplants vote against the progressive policies that caused them to be exiled from their homes. For example, in 2018 Beto O’Rourke came within 3% of defeating Senator Ted Cruz in Texas, but transplants to Texas voted for Cruz at a significantly higher rate than natives. However, sometimes transplants lack the political knowledge and discernment to make the connection between progressive policies and exile. See: https://miamiindependent.com/argentine-presidential-campaign-comes-to-key-biscayne/. Then it Is the job of conservative activists and door-knockers to educate them on that connection.

Hispanics come from a generally conservative culture, and “God, family and country” are core values. Mayra Flores used that slogan to win a historic Congressional campaign in South Texas, and it works just as well in Sunny South Florida. Unlike some other cultural groups in the Democrat coalition, Hispanics volunteered to come to America. Their faith and family provide them with the foundation to succeed at school and work, and thereby to achieve their portion of the American Dream. Their patriotism is unapologetic.

Hispanics also have a strong work-ethic and self-discipline, which are bourgeois virtues demonized by progressive Democrats. They are not afraid to work in order to achieve prosperity for themselves and their families, and are not ashamed when they achieve it. They do not seek the handouts and reparations that are offered by Democrats to their voters. Only out-of-touch woke progressives refer to Latinos as “Latinx,” further alienating the Hispanic community.

One of Hispanics’ top policy priorities is school choice, which is opposed by Democrats because of their reliance on money and manpower from the teachers’ unions. Inside the school, Hispanics prioritize the authority of parents over teachers, and oppose any woke progressive curriculum. They insist that students be taught the basics of reading, writing and ‘rithmetic, plus civics to appreciate the greatness of America and its creed.

Election integrity is another top priority, reminding them of all the election fraud in Latin America. Political shenanigans and dirty tricks fall flat with Hispanics, who have a strong memory of losing their freedom to Bolshevik operators. This priority includes insisting on transparency and accountability from the administrative state that operates our elections.

Like most other Florida voters, Hispanics prefer living in a State with low taxes, limited government, and right-to-work laws and other reasonable regulations, and Jorge supports these policies. Also, Jorge is pro-life, pro-family, pro-parental rights and pro-religious liberty, and he supports the Second Amendment right of citizens to bear arms. He recommends that you cling to your gun and your religion, and if you started a business or pursue a career, then you did build that!

Jorge is recruiting bilingual conservative activists to reach out door-to-door with Hispanic voters in his district. Turning Point Action, the National Republican Hispanic Assembly, the Libre Institute, the Christian Family Coalition, and Hispanic Republican legislators and their staff from Miami-Dade County, are expected to participate in his campaign. His campaign will kick-off on Thursday, June 15 @ 6-8 pm in Sergio’s, Pembroke Pines, and his campaign may be found at: https://navariniforflorida.com/.
